A material study on dimensional stability for veneer products
The study explores how productdesign can address the problem area of springback in the furniture industry to create more dimensionally stable veneer products and a more sustainable production with less waste. It takes a position within a methodology from material-driven design where practical handling and the material are actively involved in the design of the materialconcept to find a solution. The study also takes into account design for sustainability and its systematic system for safeguarding ecosystems when extracting raw materials for production.
