Lounge chair concept designed by Sebastian Freij for Bolia design awards 2022, drawn 29/4 -2022. Remade in Blender 2025.
This chair’s focus is on the details, where every contour has a purpose, both structurally and aesthetically. The concept behind the project was to create something functional with minimal resources. No expensive tools are needed to craft this chair, and it stands out for utilizing as little material as possible.
The frame is made from 15mm round steel rods welded together, and the seat is made from woven hemp fabric. It’s named MF01 in honor of my father, Magnus Freij, as a promise I made to him before he passed away.
